Welcome Emails

Post by Tami »

How do we send those emails that other forums have once a new member validates?

I don\'t want to do the long \"welcome to killagraphix thread\" anymore lol

I would like to be able to send a welcome from Dave & I and the staff, with a link to the guidelines and my nifty <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... #>/kgw.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'(kgw)\' /> emoticon, a link to the forum site map and some other sappy happy hallmark <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... ck_hug.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'(gag)\' /> welcome message.

Also...I saw something else on the ipb forums for a mod that I would like to try (hides from the buzzard) but I have to find it again first and read the whole thread.

Welcome Emails

Hmm i was kinda on this subject with my other self a day or two ago, i havnt signed up but i was thinking for alot of forums you have to agree to the guidelines etc etc, which im not sure if we have, but thought it was good because it gives us the valid excuse of \"you had to agree to the guidelines to join\", isnt there a way of modding it so that it gives the welcome on say first login, or just after they confirm registration *looks at scotty* n u needa add scotts mod in trin/ada/scott

I think shane has a good point there and I think the terms which people are accepting on the current registration (linky)page could (should...not looked at source yet) be easily edited to include or be replaced with our guidelines.

As for your idea ada thats just a little bit of editing the source and can definatly be done *adds to list*
