I think you're right. Ada try using the Curves tool(Ctrl+M) in photoshop, this tool really does wonders.

no filters, shot on AV with EV at -2.

cleaned up a bit of noise, sharpened, contrast adjusted plus a couple of other small tweaks.

I like the subject of the shot, but not the lighting nor the angle. Sometimes the lighting is out of our control - at least on the "shoot" level, but try shooting from different angles - sometimes a simple angle adjustment makes the ordinary seem a little extraordinary. /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
