Video Games Live Adds New Dates, Sponsor

Hi Everyone!,

Since we began [url=\"http://videogameslive.com/index.php?s=home\"]Video Games Live[/url] in 2002 we've always received an overwhelming amount of e-mail to bring the show to Canada. Video Games Live was the first concert to ever bring video game music to Canada (back in 2005) and since then we've been selling out shows all across the country including Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto & Calgary.

After touring all over the world for the past 2 1/2 years we're really excited about performing the very first video game concerts ever in Montreal this week - Thursday, February 7th & Friday, February 8th. And after two years we'll finally be back in Toronto at Massey Hall on Saturday, February 9th. Then it's our return to Edmoton on Sunday, February 17th in which we'll be performing the world premiere of Mass Effect among others. If you've never seen Video Games Live we hope you'll come and check it out for the first time and for those of you who have experienced it in the past, we've put together a new show for 2008!

SPECIAL EVENTS!

Please make sure to come early to our Pre-Show Festival where you'll enjoy game competitions, raffles, prize give-a-ways and all the latest games and HD experiences courtesy of Future Shop. Our pre-show Costume Contest is always a big favorite among guests. If you have that favorite video game character costume... please make sure to come dressed up for your chance to appear on-stage before the show! After the show there will be a post-show Meet & Greet open to everyone.


WINNIPEG DATE ANNOUNCED!

You may remember at the end of last year we asked everyone to submit their city if it wasn't already listed and Winnipeg received the greatest amount of inquiries. Thanks to you, Video Games Live is proud to announce the very first video game concert ever in Manitoba! The show will take place at the Centennial Concert Hall on Thursday, June 5th, 2008. The Centennial Concert Hall is Manitoba's premier performing arts facility. With seating for over 2300 people, the Concert Hall is the performing home of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, the Manitoba Opera and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. The Hall also hosts a wide variety of artists, dance companies and musicals from all over the world.

And finally, Future Shop is pleased to announce its national sponsorship of Video Games Live. Future Shop first became involved in Video Games Live in 2007 before becoming the presenting sponsor for 2008. "Video Games Live is a very cool and successful event,” said Mary Ann McKenzie, Entertainment Marketing Manager Future Shop. “Participating in Video Games Live lets us connect with a highly targeted group of gamers, and it also provides us with the opportunity to show those gamers how HD technology can enhance their experience through on-site demos of the Ultimate Gaming Home Theatre. Similar to Video Games Live, Future Shop takes gaming to the next level.”
