Coming to a console near you, living room rock stars will soon be able to shred to an assortment of new master tracks on Activision, Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ATVI) Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock with five new song packs releasing throughout the month of June. Two of the five packs will let gamers rock out with three headline acts from the Isle of Wight festival and tunes from the timeless rock icon, Motörhead.
Reliving one of the most memorable performances of the 2007 Isle of Wight festival, Kasabian’s master recording of “Shoot the Runner” joins 2008 headliners The Sex Pistols and Kaiser Chiefs in the Isle of Wight pack. Available on June 12th, the track pack also features Kaiser Chief’s “I Predict a Riot” which climbed all the way to #9 on the UK Singles Chart. The Sex Pistols, who went into the studio for the first time in 30 years to re-record “Anarchy in the U.K.” specifically for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, round out the track pack with a live rendition of “Problems,” recorded during their 30th anniversary tour stop at Brixton Academy in London.
In anticipation of Motorhead’s new album, on June 5, 2008 players can shred to the band’s legendary hits “We Are the Road Crew,” “Stay Clean” and their first single, the self-titled “Motörhead.”

Monday 11th May/... In celebration of the upcoming release of Guitar Hero® Metallica® in Europe, Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) today announced a European-exclusive Guitar Hero Metallica Solo Guitar Game bundle which includes an exclusive guitar controller faceplate featuring the iconic Metallica skull motif, a copy of the critically acclaimed game and a wireless guitar controller.
Guitar Hero Metallica allows fans to experience the intensity and skill of world-renowned metal and rock band, Metallica, while shredding on the guitar controller, ripping on the drum kit controller and wailing on the mic to a set list of over 45 explosive hits from both Metallica’s illustrious career and more than 20 popular artists selected by the band. Guitar Hero Metallica allows fans to perform in venues reminiscent of the band’s epic album covers, themes from their music and real world locales. New Tracks for Guitar Hero
SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 4, 2010 - May rolls in and with it comes a new collection of shredable track pack additions for Activision Publishing, Inc.'s (Nasdaq: ATVI) Guitar Hero® 5 and Band HeroTM. From "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band" to the hottest new alternative rock acts to hit the airwaves, fans can look forward to further expanding their Guitar Hero® music libraries and shredding this month with tracks by Foreigner, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steve Miller Band, Alpha Rev, Capra, Snow Patrol and Aerosmith.
Foreigner, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Steve Miller Band will have Guitar Hero players rocking in the beginning of May with the Classic Rock 3 Track Pack. "Juke Box Hero," the third single off Foreigner's 1981 album, 4, will join Lynyrd Skynyrd's second hit single, "Sweet Home Alabama," and "Take the Money and Run" by Steve Miller Band. The Classic Rock 3 Track Pack will be available on the PlayStation®Store for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system starting May 11. Get ready to rock this way with legendary American rock n' roll band, Aerosmith, as they return to the Guitar Hero stage with a three-song track pack featuring "Livin' On The Edge," "Love In An Elevator" and "Rag Doll."
