Puzzle Solvers Search the Net Looking for Clues
Introducing a new type of puzzle game which is free to play. www.cluechaser.com combines a mystery storyline and a series of unique puzzles with a message board which allows players to communicate with each other. Prizes are awarded to the first person to complete the last puzzle. Also provides advertisers with an exciting new way to introduce new products by including them in the game's storyline.
Roseville, CA, July 31, 2008 --(PR.COM)-- Thanks to the success of movies like National Treasure and The DaVinci Code, interest in treasure hunting and puzzle solving is at an all time high. ClueChaser combines these two interests in a unique and exciting new way. Using many different types of puzzles the creators behind Cluechaser.com have developed an adventure game where players search the internet for clues to solve puzzles. A mystery storyline is interwoven amongst them. Each successful solution leads to another next puzzle. The first player to solve the final one wins a cash prize, a unique ClueChaser T-shirt and a coveted spot in the website’s Hall of Fame. The games have international appeal as people from all over the world compete in them.
The most interesting feature is the message board which allows players to interact with one another. Clues, strategies, and possible solutions are discussed amongst players who are in direct competition with each other. It is often a catch-22 as a player risks it all by helping a player solve one puzzle in exchange for help with a different one.
11:00AM (PST) on August 5th, 2008 marks the launch of Game 3: Puzzle PiEces, the second game in a three game storyline in which the players race to discover the source of a mysterious medical condition that is affecting the globe along with the help of a scientist name Fletcher Edwards (aka Mr. E). There is no cost to play the game although players can join the Clue Club for a small membership fee which entitles them to exclusive benefits such as a 4 hour head start on the games and double the prize money.
The ClueChaser.com creators also market the game to companies who may be interested in advertising their product using the hottest and fastest growing method by being included in the game play (see website for details).
Previous games include Game 1: Puzzle Master, and Game 2: The Missing Mr. E. In comparing the two previous games one user, Kewljenoh, commented on the message board, “…you went above and beyond with this one. I congratulate you on the direction you took with this new game.” Another player, mrsmathteacher, declared, “I want to say one of my favorite things about this kind of game is that I do learn a lot! From keyboards to the name of that thing from Star Wars…”
In brief, ClueChaser.com offers free online puzzle hunts combining the powerful synergy of an open message board with the challenging nature of plot-based puzzles. This press release is an open invitation to you, your audience and the public at large to come and be amazed and entertained. All previous games are available at the website with the next game starting on August 5th, 2008. So I went to the site to give it a try... and Firefox actually blocked the site saying it's a malicious website. I investigated to see why it was blocked and I got this: http://safebrowsing.clients.google.com/saf...ame-3-puzzle-1/

That's not a good thing - I wonder if the owners of the game are aware of their rating.

Greetings:
Yes I am aware of the issue. I use a blog template from WordPress and unfortunately, at the moment I am using an older version which obviously has some security issues. Someone has added malware code to many of the pages. I cleaned it all up a couple weeks ago and asked Google (who was the one that brought it to my attention) to re-evaluate the site. They did and found it clean. They have since removed their warnings but it seems other have not yet done so. I will be upgrading the site to the newest version in about a week.
The site is accessible, as is the game although the game Puzzle PiEces has been completed. It is still open for play, as is the first game in the current story line The Missing Mr. E. I am currently working on creating the puzzles for the next, and final game in this storyline. It's called Chasing Shadows and I expect it to be out in late November.
I have added several puzzles to the site that I created. You can solve them for fun. They're a pretty good representation of the kinds of puzzles you'll find in the games, and the kind of thinking required to solve them.
Please feel free to visit the site and play the games.

Hello Cowpattybill, welcome to KillaNet. Sorry to hear about what happened to your site, it really sucks that someone would go and do that. /cry.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' /> Glad to hear that you got your site cleaned up and Google has reevaluated it. Will head over and check out a couple of the games this afternoon, they looked quite interesting.
Love is all a matter of timing.
It's no good meeting the right person too soon or too late.
If I'd live in another time or place...
...my story might have had a very different ending.

Hello Cowpattybill
I know that a lot of us around here can relate to what happened to you - we went through 4 years of hell with one guy who has a hate on for us, but we didn't give up and now he's awaiting final sentencing in a US Federal court for his efforts.

Yeah, it's a real pain. It's keeping me busy. I need to upgrade to the latest version but I have the main bulk of the players making their way through the current game. They are just over half way so I think they'll be done in about another week. Then I can do the upgrade.
