Staff Email using Mozilla

For all those who use their staff email regurarly, or those like me who didn't because webmail sucks - here is your solution! Mozilla Thunderbird, Mozilla's FREE email client, means that you can access your email from your desktop using a brilliant program instead of "Squirrel Mail"

[b]Setting Up Thunderbird[/b]
[b]1.[/b] Download Mozilla Thunderbird (FREE) from [url=\"http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/\"]http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/[/url]
[b]2.[/b] Install onto your computer
[b]3.[/b] Open, and "Create a new account"
[b]4.[/b] Enter in your display name (whatever you want) and your email address (staffname@killagraphix.com or yourname@yoursite.killagraphix.com)
[b]5.[/b] Make sure that "POP" is selected, and enter "webmail.killagraphix.com" as your incoming mail server
[b]6.[/b] Username is the username for your email, it should automatically fill that out
[b]7.[/b] Account name - whatever you want
[b]8.[/b] Finish

[b]9.[/b] Now go to the "Get Mail" icon, and it should say connecting to webmail.killagraphix.com
[b]10.[/b] It will ask for your password - this is the same one that you use to access your webmail. If you don't know it, or need a new one, PM one of the admins or get us in msgr/chat. Make sure that you tick "Remember this password"
[b]11.[/b] Done! You can now add more accounts <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

The advantage of this is that you can access all your webmail accounts (not possible with gmail as far as I know) from one program, that runs off your desktop. Its got a nice interface, and imo more options and features than outlook.

There is a program called Hotmail Popper, which lets you use hotmail and thunderbird, but it has a 100 email limit, before the trial ends! However, it works REALLY well so it might be worth the $17 <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
