I've actually been a customer since Killanet bought my old registrar sometime in 2004, however I never noticed that there was a forum or related site until this last renewal.

So, hello. I hope you all don't mind when I take over the planet.

Welcome to the forum, Jackuul! I'm confused though... we bought your old registrar...?

You had to have, and I remember when it happened. The old host/combo place that I used to have hosting and my domain from way back in 04 apparently went under, and then my domain was registered here.

So I assume that is how it happened. My memory if foggy that far back to be honest. If I remember the name, or would have had gmail then, I could tell you who they were.

It may be this one: http://www.killanet.net/forum/KillaNet-Tec...gnet-t5978.html

But honestly, I cannot remember clearly.

Hmm... no, that wouldn't be it either (I was one of the original CES Owners). We didn't deal in domain names, only web and IRC hosting.
Either way, it's nice to see you're a real person and not one of the hordes of spambots we get the joy of beating back each day with a stick...
I need a new stick.

I checked my domain history to no avail, and the bank account that would have that information was one that I closed in 2005 when I moved.

Hi Jackuul, and welcome to the KillaNet community. I'm not sure how we ended up as your domain registrar, but thank you for being a customer. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

What sort of activities are you involved in - graphics, programming, writing, photography, etc. ?

I stick to what I am good at mostly. Plots for world domination and such.

Although I used to be in the T-Shirt industry as a separations artist (the guy who fixes the real 'artists' problems, and also makes sure the color seps are correct for silkscreening.) and I occasionally make a simple design here and there for a client who still uses me (I try to stick to simple, easy to print images because they're cheaper to print).

I also own two RPGs. It was more, but I could not afford the VPS server I had, and so I downgraded everything to a cheapie on HG, but I still maintain two games. One is a combination of all the others that shut down (thelcna.com) and the other is an ancient one that I am rebooting (wastelandsrpg.com).

But other than that I write. That's my main source of income actually, writing content and such.

Edit: Would a signature image that is 512 pixels by 128 pixels be breaking the rules too much to use?

512 x 128 is fine - we were more trying to avoid those who insist on using half the page for a signature.

Feel free to put some information about your RPGs in the General RPG section of the Game category on the forum, as well.

I write as well, mostly news stories and reviews (games, animations, books) for our sites and for a couple of hosting clients, but I also do some photography and once in awhile I manage to create something in Photoshop.

I like writing about animals and things more than events. They're static, and they're more interesting to me. The fact that I actually like animals helps - I hate getting orders on real estate, national news, or economic theories that I do not agree with, but it is natural to have likes and dislikes I figure.

I always wanted to do photography, but I never had the tools, training, or resources.

Also, thank you for your answer, and I will be sure to check out the RPG forum.

@NightStorm: At this point if I turned out to be a bot, it would be scary, wouldn't it?

Well, not overly. They've got new systems that are actually legitimate posts for the first few (to get that sense of reality happening), then all of a sudden they spam the board all to Hell and back.

If only I could find who it was that used to be my old Registrar. This is almost like the search for the holy grail, except not holy or that old, or as exciting. Okay, it's not like the search, but I live in a fantasy world, so I say it is.

Quite the conversation going here. lol. All within a few hours too!

Hello, my name is Josh! <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' /> I also like to write, but I'm not very good at it. My grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure isn't the best at all. At least I try though. I mainly write reviews for books and games for my website and Village Gamer.
