The Mask

behind each mask there is a face
looking out from inner space
hidden feelings nightmares to
the mask belongs to me or you

the other face is for the chance
or peering out on a simple glance
hidden dreams never smile
or maybe once in a while

let the folks think your fine
smile behind your glass of wine
but deep inside you know the pain
that claims you daily once again

ahh but then you are knowing
that deep inside and slowly growing
youve found release of a kind
that give's a streangth peace of mind

your heart it pounds a steady beat
when in the mirror you do meet
cause you have set yourself a task
to one day shed,that lonely mask

Well written, Electrix...keep writing, you have a talent for it - only suggestion is to use punctuation - the poem has a flowing rhythm but readers need to know where there should be emphasis & where to pause.
