[b][i][color=\"gray\"][font=\"tahoma\"]Okay, i voted yes because it is THE most effective way for servers and companies to find security holes in their systems, and patch them up.
Black hat hacking on the other hand is a big no no, lol.

I also agree with mobil; but it goes alot further then that. Just imagin some of the havoc thats been released on the web lately, be it worms virus's or just flaws, the white hat hackersr are there to save us in some way or another

[color=\"green\"]yes, by all means i certinaly do agree with ethical hacking, its the best way to find out security holes in software...maybe microsoft needs new hackers..
the best way to find out a way an intruder would get in..is to act as an intruder..
ohh, and i also want to do this as a career, sounds like a really fascinating job, and one that i am really interested in

[b][i][color=\"gray\"][font=\"tahoma\"]Funny you say that vercz, before reading this poll ive never actually considered that as a career (or really side/2nd career), But now that you mention it, it sounds like a rather good idea... i might have to look into that.
I wonder if TAFE (Tertiary and Further Education) offers any "Hacking" courses

I know there are uni's in the USA that offer training courses in hacking. I'm pretty sure there'd bound to be one in Australia. As for white hat hacking, it sounds like a good job to be because you kinda get paid for doing something close to being illegal and it's not always the same thing everyday.

Well, I definitely agree with this. Hackers (and criminals) are always one step in front of the law. They do something, then the authorities have to respond. By having White Hat Hackers, you can identify potential holes and flaws in your network. Having them listed on a registered database is a great idea, because it provides regulation for the new "ethical hacking" industry.

Two links worth reading ^^
Also, I agree with Vercz. I think that would be a really cool career. In Australia (as far as I know) there are no Certified Ethical Hackers, or Hacking Schools. Certainly, anyone who started one would quickly become quite wealthy ($25,000 for 1 week is the going rate in America).

Just experiment if it costs that much. It often works for me but more than often I screw something up
