Application Process

ENTRY FEE: Each submission must be accompanied by $50.00 before August 23rd and $55.00 for entries after August 23rd, but before November 15th.
To receive a $10 student discount send a copy of your current student ID along with your check. *To take advantage of this $10 discount payment must be paid by check.
The entry fee is non-refundable.
Payment may be made via check or PayPal payment. If paying by check, include a printed copy of your confirmation email along with your payment.

Deadline

All screenwriting entries must be postmarked by November 15th , 2004. Early entry is August 23rd.

Notification

Top 10 scripts announced on website on January 15th, 2005
Top three finalists will be announced at the IP Gala February 25, 2005
3rd Annual IP Gala will be held on February 25, 2005

Do's and Don'ts

Do:

Proof read your screenplay carefully.
Please avoid spelling mistakes and typos.
Follow all the industry guidelines specified below.
We encourage you to register with the WGA.
Remember to download and sign your release form, or request one to be emailed to you.
Read and fill out the entry form - staple all pages of the entry form together so that our administrative staff can catalog your entry.

Don't:

Include your resume, illustrations or cast lists.
Submit shorts or TV scripts.
Use material that is copyrighted by someone else.
Contact sponsors or judges directly.

Our Goals

To discover a new screenwriting talent through our contest. To find a benefactor of the arts willing to stand behind our winning screenplay and finance the project into a feature film. To establish a partial scholarship fund as the contest grows.

The Top Ten Finalists will also be invited to the IP2005 Awards Gala.

Rules & Regulations

Please read rules and regulations carefully! Submission not meeting the contest rules may be disqualified.

Eligibility

Writer's must be 18 years of age or have a parent or guardian sign the release form.
Screenplays must be the original work of the author. No adaptations.
Applicants may not submit material that has already been optioned or sold.
Multiple submissions are accepted. Please ensure that a signed entry form and correct entry fees are attached to each additional entry.
Co-written projects are eligible as long as both authors sign the application form; however, the winners are responsible for division of the contest prizes.
No revisions or missing pages will be accepted once entry has been received.
IndieProducer recommends you register your script with the WGA.
Members and employees of IndieProducer, or Lucky Crow Films and their immediate families are not eligible, nor are any judges and their immediate families.
A completed entry form, with the appropriate entry fee and an original copy of the signed release form must accompany each submission.
Finally, and most importantly, please provide a short synopsis with your screenplay and attach to the front page.
Script Format Guidelines

All screenplays must be written in English.
Submit one copy of screenplay. Do not send originals. Submitted material will not be returned.
Screenplays must be feature length (90-130 pages), typed using 12 pt. Courier font in standard speculation screenplay format and printed on plain white paper. The pages must be numbered. Pages should be three holed punched, bound between cardstock covers and fastened by two or three metal brads. Pages may be two-sided.
Please submit two title pages. The first page, containing only the title of the entry should be attached directly to the screenplay. A second page containing the title, author's name, address, and phone number must be submitted unattached to the script.
Screenplays may be sent using the above format to us via e-mail as a PDF file.
