Divs vs. Tables

Post by Trinity »

I said divs, the reasons are pretty standard: tables should not be used for display, especially non-standard compliant pages with hundreds of nested tables (eg: old ms site), tables are slower loading, ugly to update etc etc. Use divs, your websites will look, work and run better, use tables and you will be shunned by the web design community <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />

Divs vs. Tables

Post by Jim »

I said tables, because...I dunno, I just did. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />
Love is all a matter of timing.

It's no good meeting the right person too soon or too late.

If I'd live in another time or place...

...my story might have had a very different ending.

Divs vs. Tables

You can use them both in exactly the same manner. In my opinion it's personal choice of what you would use, although at the moment the 'trend' seems to be with learning divs (so many kids posting on shoutboxes asking how to use divs, annoys me <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />).

I'm gonna null my vote <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
