Windows: Following is a list of software, that we know can host Power Retouche plugins. Others may be able to also.

Macintosh: We can only guarantee it works with Adobe Photoshop.

Install the demo pack. If the demos work, so will the full version.

Special for Mac Classic under OSX
If you want to use the Power Retouche plugins with Photoshop 6 running in classic mode under OSX, you will have to do the following once...

The Power Retouche installer can install both OSX (carbonized) and Classic (non-carbonized) versions of Power Retouche. But the installer installs the version compatible to the Start disk system. That means you will have to start your mac up in classic mode once for installing the Power Retouche plugins.

1. Under the apple menu you can select Start up disk. Change it to Classic. Reboot your mac and it should start up as a classic.

2. Install the Power Retouche.

3. Under the apple menu change Start up disk back to OSX and reboot.

Thats it once and for all.

* ArcSoft PhotoStudio 2000 (Up to Version 4.1: Does not support PhotoShop plugins)
* Macromedia xRes (Crashes on loading plugin)
* Metacreations Painter 5 (Everything works except final rendering)
* Microsoft Image Composer (Up to Version 1.0: Does not recognize the plugin)
* SPG ColorWorks: Web (Up to Version 4: Everything works except final rendering)
