Abstract Flames

Close Paint Shop if you have it open.

Download the brush, unzip it to your C>>Programme Files>>Jasc Software>>Paint Shop Pro>>Presets folder

Reopen Paint Shop, click on Paintbrush, then on Presets

You\'ll notice that it adds layers each time you release and re-click the mouse.

By changing the foreground and/or background colours, you can change your flame effects. I\'ve used red/orange red/yellow and red/black combinations in different thicknesses, lengths and opacities.

By changing the opacity, Thickness and Size options on your brush you can get different flame effects. The speed with which you move your brush across the image will also have an effect on how the image looks.

Next, select your Sharpen brush and go over the flame edges.

Make your brush thinner, and add highlights in different areas.

Next, use the Smudge Brush just above the Sharpen Brush, and use it to add more shape and texture to your flames. If necessary, use the Sharpen brush again to add detail to your flames.
