hmm... my cousin got a ticket for not having a functional car (his speedometer was broken) so he got a $300some ticket..Although, I don\'t know why he didn\'t use the excuse of \"I\'m heading off to the shop to get it fixed.\" which gets out out of most disfunctional car tickets <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />

When you say it doesn\'t work does it just not move or is it off by so many MPH or something? Depending on what\'s wrong you may be able to get out of it. Also check and see if there is a class you can attend in order to keep it off your driving record that way your inssurance doesn\'t go up as well. I would DEFFINITLY try to do something to get out of that. There are always ways to get around it.... we live in a corrupt society lol.

If you take the car to a shop and get the speedometer fixed and havea reciept to prove that it was broken...you should be able to get out of the ticket or get it reduced...i know my mom\'s done it before. :s

Radar, yes in a way its illegal, cause if it doesnt work, it doesnt keep track of the miles, but since i am not selling it(if i get a new one grandpa wants it back) nothing to worry about unless i want to know how fast i am going, wont work.
