anywho, yes. this was part of my lit course, i was to write a poem entitled "I Am" ...explaining about myself i guess (id write more, but i cant find the sheet. drama hey?)
adue aside,
I am
What you want me to be.
A cold dark pool of apathy.
If you push me, I will fall.
Struggle to walk, and fail to crawl.
A sheath of light, a tough façade.
It’s not your fault, for this myself was made.
An impervious heart filled with lies,
Filled to the brim with false lullabies.
A shaky head is ripe with fear,
Confusion burns through crystal clear.
The panic and pain is eating away,
It’s slowly eating away…
I am what I’ve found,
I will be what I’m not.
This life it’s so hard,
To strive for the top.
Perfection demanded, a price must be paid.
This price is not cheap, will not come easy.
A lifetime’s commitment, and more every day
Is what is required, it’s what you must pay.
If you aim for the worst, there is no fail.
However when your aim is set high,
Indeed there is loss, indeed there is pain.
Indeed there is sweat, toil for gain.
Two roads await, the former and latter.
Concrete streets, or a silver platter.
The choice is mine, to have and to hold.
I am determined, hearty and bold.
I will make a difference, I will change my life.
I will end all this pain, this endless strife.
A better future awaits.
I know the road I must take
I am James.
