CMS' can be the hardest thing in the world to code. So I have come up with this little article written by yours truly. Firstly you need to consider what you want to give the users in using your CMS. Firstly you want it to be easy for the user to operate. In the operating case it can be the site's admin/s and/or the users. Usually both. You must also decide one that modules your going to include. You might want to lean towards including a forum. Whether your own or a premade one. Most CMS' would just use phpbb. It being the most common free bb around. Also you will want to think about user management and polling systems. You might want a members list and so forth. Keep in mind little extras like private messaging which can be run through the phpbb. Also making the user registration even easier as you can just integrate you CMS' user database with that of the bb.
That's about all I can think of for now. I will keep posting updates towards this as I think of me in my coding of my CMS. Just saying the things that I have considered really.
