While I don\'t expect any of you to have the passion I do for making KillaNet work and actually start earning an income and make all the things that have been talked about actually happen, it would really be nice to see sites going live. By the end of April I want to see every site not yet finished, finished and ready to go live. Obviously some sites won\'t be chalk full of content, but they will be ready. I\'m tired of feeling like I\'m almost the only working my ass off to make this place work. Why am I paying out money for things that don\'t ever get completed? Vulture is leaving for medical school in September. Who is going to take up his work? We have purported Network Staff who do nothing. Zilch. We have forum staff who do the same. I paid money to send out rather expensive books, all I asked for was a review. Did you all keep your end of the bargain? No. Some of you just disappeared with an \"Oh well, sorry about that.\" And for that, the rest of the staff who need those books, and did their reviews, have lost out, and now I get to pay for those books. What is wrong with this picture?

We have new, active members. They won\'t stay that way if new tutorials, W.I.P., activities, etc. are not added. Some of you are very good about adding new work; if I ask for something, it\'s done very promptly. For those of you who do that, thank you, you know who you are.

Perhaps it\'s my own fault for trying to give something to each of you that caters to your interests, to try to help you move forward in what you would like to do, to bring out the talent I see in all of you. Perhaps I\'ve handed out too much, and just expected the reins to be picked up and those talents developed.

The graphics forum needs to be just that, a graphics forum. There is no way we can compete with the big graphics sites and leave a good impression with our Digital Youth supporters if the forum doesn\'t grow. In order for that to happen, the non-graphics material needs to either be dropped or moved to the sites they are supposed to be on. I have tasks that I need to complete for Digital Youth, so that those of you who want to move here to work at \"HQ\" can do so, and so that those of you can\'t move here but would still like to be a part of our paid global staff, can also do so. Yet I still have to spend hours every day working on things that some of you could be doing, and these days, I am just too tired to do it all.

I kept many of you on out of courtesy, for the support that was given when we all first started out on Graphix Ground. I\'m not willing to do that anymore. Either you act like a staff member and contribute, or the status is gone. The following will have their status removed by the end of March if I don\'t see more than just a name in chat or a logged, non-contributing visit to the forums.

Sp3culuM
Trinity
Kobra
Jay (yes I know he can\'t see this list)
David

Rift and Jake are exempt for personal reasons.

I should probably apologize if this comes across as really cranky, but I don\'t think I will. We should\'ve been far past the point we are at by now, but nothing is going to move forward if things around here don\'t change and move forward.

I can understand what you are going through when there is something you would really love to see happening doesn\'t because some people don\'t put in any work when they should. I personally try my hardest to give everyone the things they asked for. I would also love to see some more W.I.P.\'s posted but I think I\'m the only one who takes up so many projects, I do know that most of you have other works to do and can\'t just model all the time. But I will try to post every new update or release of anything related to 3D. Anyway I\'m not the one who should be complaining.

Cheers

I lost all the sites for the ezine in the E: drive failure of '05. Could you identify each feature so I know exactly what you want. TAFE gives me lots (too much) free time, so I can do it. I'm waiting on a lot of things for WSI at the moment (and I think I kind of know how you feel) but if you could point out the detail, it would be nice.

@Tibs; Yeah, I try to model when I can, it\'s just....I can\'t stay focused with one thing at a time. I have this happen while doing php work; It\'s almost like I need to disconnect from the internet and destroy all distractions and buckle down on it.

@Radar; Errmm...Hasn\'t Tami given you all of the features she wants for the ezine? From what I understand she\'s given you resources of what she wants it to look like and be like and she\'s also given you a feature list.

@thread; Okay...My project has been KillaWriters. I\'ve been neglecting it a lot due to game addictions I know I have (guild wars) and because php pisses me off so much and like I said to tibs earlier in this post, I can\'t stay focused on things more than like an hour or two. (I have that problem at school too..teachers get pissed at me for it but I say \'eh, screw you and get a life.\' lmao) But I know I need to be working on Writers. I still want to create writers from scratch and not use a premade script since I do believe all of our websites should use our own coding since we know what that code does and we know we could edit it and know we won\'t break something else. I\'m rambling. Sorry \'bout that.

Regarding the eZine:

Departments:

Editorials
Reviews
Features
Graphics News
Gaming News
Development News
Writing News
KillaNet News
Digital Youth News
Advertisements

Links To:

killanettechnology.com
killagraphix.com
killagaming.com
killahosting.com
digitalstormlan.com

To Be Added As Ready:

digital-youth.com
killawriters.com
killacode.com

The \"front page\" of the ezine needs an index to the departments. The top headlines from each section need to be on the \"front page\"

Images need to be attachable as at least thumbnails to articles
Archives for past issues
Double opt-in subscription
Space for advertising in the newsletter

There is a script on http://feature.killanet.net/ which may be of use to you. Trinity coded it some time ago. If you would like a copy of the script, let one of the admins know and we\'ll pull a copy off the server.

This eZine needs to be very professional in appearance yet at the same time it needs to make people want to read more, and to want to get involved in KN or DY or even DSL.

Support for DY is growing at a rather rapid pace in this town, and there needs to be a reason to keep that support growing. We do that through making our sites exciting, informative, and interactive. We are on the cusp of arriving...let\'s do it in a big way.

Space left for advertising on the home page.

Working on article page, sorting it all into pretty things.

I think we should have news on the front page, notes from the editor and major stories on the home page.

How bout we create something like the image I made below for the Front page or whatever you call it <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />
I think it looks profession, maybe few tweaks here and there, anyway just brainstorming <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... shades.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'B)\' />

The concept is really good but I'm going to be really picky here.

1) Not everyone has the same res.
1 a) This means the background thing will not fit all computers.
1 <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... shades.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'B)\' /> The menu will be different sizes.
2) The bars at the top and bottom are HUUUUGEEE.

That was just a concept like you said, on how I think it should be layed out, even I don\'t use that res, thats only 640x480 mine\'s 1024x768. <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
The bars are a bit big arn\'t they <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />?

Everything you (tami) have asked has been done, with one tiny exception. I thought it would be better to not bloat up the front page with all the articles, rather just put all of the departments on the articles page.

Anything else?

nothing comes to mind at the moment, radar; thank you for getting that done so fast, both you and vercz. Now all we need is some content for the launch issue... any ideas?

Yeah.... \"Why apache is so stupid!\" that should be the featured article :@ Anyway, shouldn\'t we be utilizing the staff alignment we put together a while back for this? Like the team things..... team leader, team members, etc...
