Details on The Godfather game are currently harder to get hold of than a mafia Don\'s chief accountant. However, thanks to our exclusive and very persuasive chat with Godfather developer Electronic Art\'s Redwood Shores Studio, we now know more than anyone else. You play a low-ranking Mafioso, unseen in the film, using the Tiger Woods 2005 create-a-character system to produce your wannabe gangster. We also know it\'s going to be a free-roaming action adventure, set in the streets of New York and that the film\'s main cast will all make an appearance. The only thing we didn\'t know up until now was how the game would work around the film\'s story.

This new trailer from EA finally helps answer that question. In one of the film\'s classic scenes, Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone (The Godfather) stops to buy some oranges before being shot by a rival gang. This trailer partially recreates that famous moment - you see the rival gang members running along the street - but the clip stops before any shots are fired. The interesting part is that the game\'s playable character is the guy in front of the mirror getting his hair cut. We\'re guessing that this might set up one of the in-game missions: finding and punishing the would-be assassins, perhaps.
