It\'s set to feature more \'hit and runs\' than the entire Grand Theft Auto series combined, and now Codemasters\' upcoming leather-on-willow extravaganza Ricky Ponting International Cricket has nabbed official content thanks to a licence from the International Cricket Council (ICC), the governing body for international cricket.

In RPIC you\'ll be able to step up to the crease and compete with the professionals in crickets most challenging tournaments including the ICC Cricket World Cup and the ICC Champions Trophy.

All the official ICC One-Day International teams will be present, with 16 players per squad, and stadia from around the world, including The Oval, Newlands, and Edgbaston (no Aussie grounds have been confirmed yet, but we\'re confident all the big names will be in there).

The ICC deal also brings authentic strips and real name players with detailed facial likenesses to the game. So, in addition to Punter Ponting himself, you\'ll be facing world-class bouncers from the world\'s greatest bowlers, including Wasim Akram, Glenn McGrath or Andrew Flintoff or trying to send the bails flying from cricket\'s best batsmen such as Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, or Andrew Strauss!

You can expect a full playtest on this site as soon as we\'ve spent some time in the middle with RPIC, but until then you can grab a hold of these brand new screens and er, polish them on your inner thigh. Notice the attention to detail, such as the umpire wearing the bowler\'s cap and a Zimbabwean batsmen getting clean bowled (sorry, Zimbabwe fans). Also notice the little fielding guage that determines whether you\'ll get a direct hit on the stumps, and the various other bars and thingies on the screen that at this point we don\'t know much about at all.
