From what I can see, Source is basically Counter-Strike with better graphics.. How is 1.6 better?

That's what the typical player says, Kobra. Source is aimed at the kids who want to spend daddies money on a new game. I've played source, and I have to say.. it's not my cup of tea. It is NOT 1.6 with better graphics, it's an entirely new game, just built on the same principle.

CS has had a massive community for quite some time, but the game's now about 5-6 years old. Valve needed to release a new game to keep the community interested (as well as boost profits again). Thing is, half of the community love source, because they think it's the way forward for professional competition. The other half love 1.6 because source has many, many bugs that need fixing.

If source is to win over the rest of the community, it needs more changes to keep up with the competitive aspect of the game. I can't see myself switching to source until those changes have been made <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

well after playing both for a while it doesnt matter.....source=easyer headshots and lotsa money for me at lans <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/blum.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' /> and 1.6 is jus low set graphix but fun yet both still have freaking noob hackers <img src=\'http://www.killanet.net/forum3/public/s ... >/lazy.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'-_-\' /> nehow dun matter i prefer both cuz they the same sept ones easyer and has better graphix

Source was meant for the people who can't play 1.6.. Cause in all reality.. 1.6 takes skill to play.. Were as in Source.. Like Micheal said... Way to easy HS.. and the dynamic price change is bogus.
