New "Gumby vs. the Astrobots" Animated Trailer Reveals a Heart of Clay

Namco Hometek Inc. today released a new trailer from its upcoming side-scrolling platformer for the Game Boy® Advance, "Gumby® vs. the AstrobotsTM." An original animated short from Gumby creator Art Clokey, the newly released trailer highlights some of Gumby's unique clay powers while introducing the game's villainous menace, the Astrobots. "Gumby vs. the Astrobots" will be available in stores this August.

In "Gumby vs. the Astrobots," the scheming BlockheadsTM have abducted Gumby's friends using the devious Astrobots, and are hiding them in different book worlds. Using his special clay morphing powers, Gumby must bounce, stretch and twist his way through different levels to save PokeyTM, PrickleTM and GooTM. This original Gumby adventure is further enriched through classic visuals and voices straight from the celebrated television series.
