Update
Just an update on what's going on at my end. I'm currently back at Uni although my flat has no internet (yet, hopefully this week). Things are very busy at the moment so I'm spending virtually no time on anything GG orientated. I don't really know what to do about it, it's a very big project and not one I see myself finishing any time soon.

GG gets done when it gets done - I think Jim has been working a bit on it - at least that's the impression he has given me. I haven't seen any of the project itself other than what's been posted in the discussion thread, so I don't really know. The further along we get, the more I ponder what types of material we should allow - my gut is telling me that we need to lean more towards the actual new media industry, but my friends at dA want it for digital photography. *sigh*

as for GG, I haven't been active much in terms of input, though I think the best ways of "leaning" seem to be to allow different kinds of art, i.e. allow everything (within reason), but maybe feature the things we think will sell us the best.
the relaxed approach usually gets my vote, that way people can upload their digital photography, but we could also end up being seen as leaders in the new media industry.
coupled with the extra features I've seen planned, that should be a good enough selling point, major obstacle obviously being getting the work done.. something to which I can't committ as of late (yet another flight on tuesday :| )
