[b]Count Colours Filter / Count Colors[/b]
Counts distinct RGB colours in an image or selection. Also counts distinct values in single channels. Now works with both 8 and 16 bit images.

Export image histogram counts as a text file.

[b]12bits Filter[/b]
Reduces colour depth of each channel of an image to 4 bits/16 values (4096 colours). Useful for some mobile devices.

[b]5_6_5 Filter[/b]
Reduces colour depth of channels to 5 bits red, 6 bits green, 5 bits blue (total 16 bits or 65536 colours). Applies error diffusion dither. Useful for some mobile devices. Also includes 5/5/5 variation (32768 colours).

[b]SGI Format[/b]
Reads and writes SGI (Irix) RGB image files, 8 or 16 bits/channel, in RLE or uncompressed formats. While Photoshop 7 includes this format, this plugin has fewer bugs (none reported), is faster and works with all versions of Photoshop, on all platforms.

Installation

Download the zip file, uncompress all the files to your chosen "Plugins" folder, configure your host to look in that folder (if necessary), then restart your graphics app and the new effects should appear somewhere in the filter menu. This is the basic procedure for installing plug-ins. However, some hosts have slight variations so for more details please read the documentation that came with your graphics program.

Use this filter only on a layer. It is a transparency mask. It will adjust the transparency of a layer so that the layer beneath will show through in a pattern resembling marble. The effect is quite different from either of these. The preview won't show you the blend. You will have to experiment to find the settings you prefer.

To get to the plugins, click the above link, then click Plugins on his index menu. It looks like he's working on more plugins, judging from his list of products, but these three are the only ones available for download at this time.

[b]Color Cube[/b]

This plugin provides a 3D visualization of all colors in an image. Colors are represented as RGB-values, hence each color corresponds to a point in color space. Histograms, although useful, represent only projections of the full 3D color distribution, hence important subtleties may remain hidden. The Color Cube plugin helps in detecting color clipping etc.

Color Cube lets you select a rectangular region or the entire image to be analyzed. You can spin the color cube and view it from any angle you want. You can also select the background color. Remember that Color Cube is an analysis tool, it will not alter your image.

[b]Pano Warp[/b]

This plugin lets you perform pixel transformations used in panorama stitching. I am well aware of some excellent panorama stitching tools out there which do it all automatically without you having to bother much. These work fine if you take your pictures with a tripod and make sure the horizon is in the middle, but if you don't, you can have a real hard time. There is also the problem with curved lines in architecture photography. Check out the examples below and you'll see what I mean.

My plugin will give you full control, but that also means you have to play around a bit. You can use it for preprocessing single frames and compose your panorama the pedestrian way (e.g. with Photoshop using layers). This is somewhat tedious but I occasionally encounter situations where this is the only way I can get a decent stitch. Since this preparation is an iterative process, I found it useful to provide an option to save and load up to five different parameter settings. A simple facility to compensate barrel distortion and vignetting also comes in handy.

You might also want to use Pano Warp for post processing, e.g. switch between projections or re-adjust the horizon height. The filter lets you reposition and resize the output image. Grid lines can be displayed both before and after transformation.

[b]Perspective Transformations[/b]

Sometimes you cannot choose the optimum angle to take a picture. If the object is essentially planar (e.g. a painting on a wall) or the angle is not off by much then there is hope that you can correct the perspective afterwards.

The opposite may also be of interest if you want to make a composition and place objects at different angles, e.g. pep up screenshots for a brochure.

The Perspective plugin lets you carry out both active ("tilt") and passive ("untilt") transformations. You can rotate the image around three axis, then reposition and resize it. Grid lines can be displayed both before and after transformation.

The Digital Artshop's Iridescent filter will apply a pearl like effect to your image. The effect is fully controlable with sliders for the amount of reflections, colour strength, smoothing and a detail enhancer.

GREYSCALER
Our RGB to greyscale filter was created to add more flexability to converting images to black and white. The first three sliders control each individual channel. This can be useful in bringing out hidden detail in the picture or isolating individual channels. In additon there are the more usual controls for Contrast, Brightness and a Depth (pseudo gamma) control.

IMAGE ENCODER
Protect your pictures from prying eyes. Our Image Encoder has 16 million encode/decode options.
To encode simply adjust the three sliders and set the X,Y option , making a note of the encode number. To decode set the sliders to the same numbers with 'decode' option checked.

Despite being coarser his algorithm produces much better looking results.I want to thank Mr. Atkinson who passed the algorithm on to John Balestrieri and Mr. Balestrieri for sharing the information.

Pinocchio is mainly a fun tool to produce image distortions by mouse strokes. You can use it for caricatures and such. Just click on the preview image and drag in whichever direction, then use the sliders for fine tuning. This version lets you perform multiple mouse strokes without having to exit and reinvoke the plugin.

[b]Vignette Corrector[/b]
Vignetting is the brighness fallof at the corners of an image. This is a rather universal phenomenon, however it is more pronounced for wide-angle lenses. If you are interested in the theoretical aspects of vignetting, here is a nice explanation. Vignetting can be very disturbing if you want to combine a set of images to a panorama (panorama stitching). You want to compensate that unwanted effect on the individual frames before stitching. On the other hand, vignetting is sometimes deliberately used as a nostalgic style element in portray photography.Vignette Corrector offers you a number of controls to adjust the size and brightness of the vignette. In addition you can modify the tint and saturation. I found this useful for scanned negatives, where I could not compensate vignetting with brightness modifications alone. I have also implemented a 3x3 mirror tiled view to enhance the vignette visibility. Use the tiled view for accurate vignette correction prior to panorama stitching.
